Lactobacillus reuteri is a well-researched probiotic strain that naturally colonizes the human gut. It produces reuterin, a broad-spectrum antimicrobial compound, which inhibits the growth of Helicobacter pylori, E. coli, Salmonella, and other pathogens. Pylosh supports gut barrier function, reduces antibiotic-associated diarrhea, alleviates colic in infants, and enhances mucosal immunity. Each capsule delivers 2 billion CFU with enteric protection for maximum survival through stomach acid.
Lactobacillus reuteri DSM 17938 is one of the most extensively studied probiotic strains
with over 200 clinical trials. It exhibits unique properties:
1. Antimicrobial production: L. reuteri produces reuterin (3-hydroxypropionaldehyde),
a potent antimicrobial that inhibits the growth of Helicobacter pylori, Clostridium difficile,
Campylobacter, Salmonella, and Shigella without harming beneficial commensals.
2. Gut barrier enhancement: It upregulates tight junction proteins (occludin, claudin),
reducing intestinal permeability ("leaky gut").
3. Immune modulation: It increases regulatory T cells (Tregs) and reduces pro-inflammatory
cytokines (IL-6, TNF-α), making it beneficial for allergies and inflammatory bowel conditions.
4. H. pylori management: When used alongside triple therapy, L. reuteri significantly
improves eradication rates and reduces side effects (diarrhea, nausea).

General gut health: One capsule daily with or without food.
H. pylori adjunct: One capsule twice daily during antibiotic therapy and for 4 weeks after.
Antibiotic-associated diarrhea: One capsule daily, starting from day 1 of antibiotics, continue for 1 week after completion.
IBS / constipation: One capsule twice daily for 4–8 weeks, then once daily maintenance.
For infantile colic: Open capsule and mix contents with expressed breast milk, formula, or water. Five drops of the reconstituted suspension (approx. 10⁸ CFU) once daily. Consult pediatrician before use.
Swallow whole with water. Do not crush or chew (enteric-coated capsule protects from stomach acid).
For best results, take at least 2 hours apart from antibiotics. Refrigerate after opening to maintain potency.
