Sucralfate forms a viscous adhesive barrier that binds to ulcerated mucosa, protecting it from acid, pepsin, and bile. Oxetacaine is a potent topical anaesthetic that provides rapid relief from gastric pain and heartburn. Together, they accelerate ulcer healing, reduce acidity, and alleviate discomfort associated with gastritis, GERD, and peptic ulcers.
Sucralfate: A basic aluminium salt of sucrose octasulfate. In the acidic environment of the stomach (pH <4),
it polymerizes into a viscous, paste-like gel that binds selectively to ulcerated mucosa. This protective barrier
lasts for up to 6 hours, shielding the lesion from acid, pepsin, and bile salts. It also stimulates local prostaglandin
synthesis and mucosal regeneration.
Oxetacaine (Oxethazaine): A potent, long-acting topical anaesthetic that rapidly numbs gastric mucosal pain receptors.
It provides relief from epigastric pain, heartburn, and discomfort within minutes, lasting for 60–90 minutes.
This dual action accelerates ulcer healing (usually within 4–8 weeks) while providing symptomatic relief, improving patient compliance.

For severe ulcers: 10 ml three times daily (before each meal) and at bedtime.

Shake the bottle vigorously for at least 30 seconds before each use. Measure with the provided dosing cup. Take on an empty stomach (1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals) for maximum binding to ulcer site. Do not take antacids within 30 minutes before or after Suncral-O, as they may reduce its efficacy. For best results, maintain a consistent dosing schedule.
