Palmesta is a scientifically formulated combination that addresses multiple pathways of nerve damage: Methylcobalamin (active B12) for myelin repair, Alpha Lipoic Acid to reduce oxidative stress, Benfotiamine (lipid-soluble B1) to block advanced glycation end-products, plus B6, Folic Acid, and Biotin for homocysteine regulation and energy metabolism. Ideal for diabetic neuropathy, alcoholic neuropathy, and chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy.
Palmesta combines six essential nutrients that target the key pathological mechanisms of peripheral neuropathy:
oxidative stress, advanced glycation end-products (AGEs), myelin degeneration, and impaired methylation.
Methylcobalamin (1500 mcg) – the active coenzyme form of vitamin B12 that directly supports myelin
synthesis and nerve repair. It has been shown to improve nerve conduction velocity and reduce neuropathic pain.
Alpha Lipoic Acid (100 mg) – a potent mitochondrial antioxidant that scavenges free radicals,
regenerates other antioxidants (vitamins C, E, glutathione), and improves insulin sensitivity in nerve tissues.
Benfotiamine (100 mg) – a lipid-soluble derivative of thiamine (B1) with high bioavailability.
It blocks the formation of AGEs and prevents vascular damage in diabetic nerves.
Pyridoxine HCl (10 mg) – essential for neurotransmitter synthesis and homocysteine metabolism;
prevents pyridoxine-deficiency neuropathy.
Folic Acid (1.5 mg) – lowers homocysteine levels, a risk factor for neuropathy and vascular disease.
Biotin (100 mcg) – supports energy production and fatty acid synthesis for healthy nerve membranes.
Other ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, hypromellose film coating. Free from gluten, yeast, artificial colors.
One tablet twice daily (morning and evening) after meals, or as directed by the physician.
For severe neuropathy: one tablet three times daily for the first 4 weeks, then maintenance twice daily.
Maximum: 3 tablets per day.
Improvement in symptoms such as tingling and numbness usually observed within 4–6 weeks. Long-term use (3–6 months) is recommended for sustained nerve regeneration and prevention of relapse.
Do not exceed recommended dose. Pyridoxine at high doses (>200 mg/day) can cause sensory neuropathy; this formulation contains only 10 mg per tablet, well within safe limits. For patients with renal impairment, consult physician before use.
